Hawaiʻi Belt Road to be reduced to one lane at Hakalau Bridge with planned makai lane closure
The closure is necessary so repairs to the foundation of the bridge can continue, is necessary in preparation for the overall Hakalau Bridge Rehabilitation Project, which is expected to begin in fall 2027.

Series of suspicious same-shaped brush fires along Queen K Highway under investigation in Kona
All of the fires were 10-foot-10 in size and seen in the area between the intersection of Hulikoa Drive and Hina Lani Street. A cause has not been determined.
