Overnight road closure scheduled for utility work in North Kona

Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a utility pole in North Kona, requiring an overnight road closure while the work is performed.

The closure is planned for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight Aug. 6-7 along Māmalahoa Highway, between the junction of Hualālai Road and Halelani Road.

Work is being done overnight to minimize disruptions to the community.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and drive with caution when approaching the work zone. Flaggers will provide traffic control.
