NAS Pool Temporary Closure Postponed
The Department of Parks and Recreation has postponed scheduled work at NAS Swimming Pool.

Post Office Road in Pahoa is now a one-lane road, open only to those traveling out of town. The only way to get in to Pahoa is through the intersection of Route 132 and Rouce 130, near Pahoa High School.

Since 7 a.m. Wednesday, the June 27 Kilauea lava flow has advanced 555 yards and continues to move downhill towards Apa’a St. and the Pahoa Transfer Station.
New Fast-Paced Lava Front Closes Roads
The new flow front has advanced approximately 425 yards since yesterday and is 0.3 miles from the Apa’a St. area. Road closures are in effect for the area.
Second Arrest Made in W. Kawili St. Altercation
A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection to an altercation that occurred in Hilo. This follows the arrest and attempted murder charge of a Pahoa man.
