Activity in the downslope areas of the June 27 lava flow remains sparse as activity continues upslope between the vent and crack system.

Activity downslope of the June 27 lava flow remains quiet. Weather conditions prevented an upslope assessment but officials will attempt again later in the day.

A fuel tanker leaked two gallons of jet fuel following an accident at the Bayfront Highway and Pauahi Street intersection early Friday.
Police Continue Search for Missing Plumber
Jeffrey Meek, 44, was last seen Nov. 8 in Pepe’ekeo. Ground and aerial searches have been done with no trace of his whereabouts.
