The Global Hot Wheels Legends Tour, in search of the next Hot Wheels die-cast, will take place on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Walmart in Kona.

Kona Dance and Performing Arts presents a weekend of dance workshops with world-renowned teaching artists Roman Vasquez and Charlene Rose, offering a variety of classes for students aged 13 and up.

After raising over $1 million for Maui relief, Maui Ola will return with a series of benefit concerts- donating all proceeds to those impacted by Mauiʻs devastating wildfires.

Hilo Idol, is creating a platform — a literal stage — for exposure, cross-promotion and being part of reconnecting, re-establishing and reinvigorating the community in a still-waking post-COVID world.

Aside from the 50th annual Queen Lili‘uokalani Canoe Race, this week’s events include support for people impacted by the deadly wildfires on Maui comprising of a benefit concert and a vigil, to more live music.

The “Maui Ola: A Benefit Concert for Maui,” donation channels, including Maui United Way, Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, Hawaiʻi People’s Fund, and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, collected nearly $1 million in donations to aid Maui’s recovery.

“Maui Ola: A Benefit Concert for Maui” is a live broadcast telethon that will rally aid from around the world, using music to deliver the call for support.

Amid the crisis after devastating wildfires swept across West Maui on Aug. 8, the unifying and healing power of mele (music) has summoned Maui’s celebrated recording artists, including Grammy and Nā Hōkū Hanohano winners, and hula hālau to gather to help those impacted.

The hula festival and competition invites haumāna (students) ages 6 and older to participate in showcasing ʻauana (modern) and kahiko (ancient) styles.
