UPDATES: Erick Forecast to Become Hurricane on Monday

Rapid strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, with Erick likely becoming a hurricane on Monday, and potentially a major hurricane on Tuesday.

The forecast cone through Thursday places the center of Erick, if he forms, more than 400 miles away from Hawai‘i.
