According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain was falling near Kapapala Ranch and Wood Valley at a rate of 2 – 3 inches per hour.
8 P.M. UPDATE: Impact Update on Hurricane Ana
No changes have been made to the alerts that are posted. The intensity has not changed since the last update but the track has been nudged farther west.
2 P.M. UPDATE: Ana Strengthens, But Forecast Remains Unchanged
Gusts up to 40 miles per hour and waves reaching 15 feet have already been felt at South Point.
