Several parks and coastal facilities in Kohala and Kona remain closed today due to debris from high surf, according to the county Department of Parks & Recreation.

The closures include Kahaluʻu Beach Park, Kohanaiki Beach Park, and Mahukona Wharf.
Officials warned that additional locations may close without notice as conditions change.

The department also urges the public to use caution near affected shorelines and to stay informed through official county updates.
