Schatz statewide telephone town hall draws more than 16K Hawai‘i residents to participate
More than 16,000 Hawai‘i residents called in to a telephone town hall this week hosted by U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz.

“I always appreciate the chance to hear directly from people across Hawai‘i about their priorities and concerns,” said Schatz in a release about the town hall.
The Hawai‘i Democrat during the tele-meeting heard from constituents throughout the state about their priorities and provided updates about his work in the Senate.
He also took questions about a wide range of many topics that included:
- Rising costs.
- Federal funding.
- Health care.
- Education.
- Immigration enforcement.
“Mahalo to everyone who joined us … for a really productive conversation,” Schatz said. “We’re going to continue working to make life more affordable and deliver federal resources to every part of the state.”
