Update at 11:52 p.m. Oct. 16, 2025: Hawai‘i Police Department reports that 79-year-old Lynda Saffery, who was previously reported as an endangered missing person, was located tonight in good health.

Law enforcement thanks the public for its cooperation.

Original post at 8:42 p.m. Oct. 16, 2025: Hawai‘i Police Department is asking the public for its help with locating a missing an endangered elderly woman.

Police report that 79-year-old Lynda Saffery was last seen at 6 p.m. in the area of ʻĀinaloa Boulevard and Aloha Drive in ʻĀinaloa. She is considered endangered because she requires medication.

Saffery weighs 160 pounds and has gray hair, blue eyes with glasses and was wearing a purple dress.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts or that can assist with safely locating her should immediately call 9-1-1 or the Hawai‘i Police Department non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
