Police do not think impairment or speed were factors in the crash.

The collision happened at about 2 p.m. Monday. Police report that the Dodge Ram was turning left onto Kapi‘olani Street from Ponahawai Street when it struck the elderly Minnesota man while he was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.
