The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation notifies the public about its scheduled lane closures for the week of Jan. 11-17 on the Big Island.

Lane closures can change at any time without notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY/KUAKINI HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 11) —

1) PĀHALA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 44 to 46, in the vicinity of Kapapala Ranch, for vegetation cutting.

2) KĒŌKEA-HŌNAUNAU

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 97.3 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road, for safety improvements.

3) KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 116 to 117, in the vicinity of Walua Road, for vegetation cutting.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD/QUEEN KA‘AHUMANU HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 19) —

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 17 to 19, in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway, for vegetation cutting.

2) LAUPĀHOEHOE TO ‘Ō‘ŌKALA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 25 to 29, in the vicinity of Moonlight Road, for vegetation cutting.

3) KAILUA-KONA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 96 to 98, in the vicinity of Hale Mākaʻi Place, for drainage cleaning.

— KEA‘AU-PĀHOA ROAD (HIGHWAY 130) —

1) PĀHOA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 13-16 in either direction between mile posts 7.6 to 7.7, in the vicinity ʻĀinaloa Boulevard, for crosswalk and curb maintenance.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 190) —

1) WAIMEA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 0 to 1, in the vicinity of Lindsey Road and Lālāmilo Farm Road, for paving and striping.

2) WAIKŌLOA

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 12.2 to 16.4 for paving and striping.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (HIGHWAY 250) —

1) KAPA‘AU

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 9 to 14, in the vicinity of Foot Path, for vegetation cutting.

— PŪ‘AINAKŌ STREET (HIGHWAY 2000) —

1) HILO

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street for paving and shoulder work as part of the Pūʻainakō Street Improvements project.
