HPD Seeks Witnesses in Bicycle Robbery

The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating possible witnesses to a robbery that occurred early Monday morning.

HPD says that around 1 a.m., a robbery involving a bicycle started at an apartment on the 1400 block of Kino’ole Street.

The incident ended on Kino’ole Street, north of Kawili Street.

A female victim, who was not identified, reported that a woman removed a bicycle from the apartment building and rode off on Kino’ole Street. The victim attempted to get her bike back when a second person, driving a black older-model two-door pickup truck, intervened and assaulted the victim.

The first suspect was described as local, approximately 5-feet tall, and about 110 pounds with long black hair. She was wearing a pink tank top and denim shorts.

No description of the second person was made available.

Police ask that anyone with information about this incident should call Officer Paul Mangus at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
