Hilo Man Charged in Burglaries Last Year in Waiakea Uka

A 20-year-old Hilo man has been charged in connection with break-ins of two homes in the Waiakea Uka area of Hilo in late 2012.

James Kama was charged with burglary and theft. His bail was set at $10,250.

Police said hunting equipment, ammunition and electronic and household items valued at more than $5,000 were taken in the burglaries that occurred in November and December of last year.
