Police said two Paauilo men have been charged with theft of livestock after they allegedly were found with part of a calf carcass on a Honokaa ranch.

A 54-year-old Honokaa man told police Sunday that he found the two men with the meat and a firearm on his pasture land.

Later that day police arrested Lonnie James Knutson, 22, and Jason James Williams, 25.

The men were charged late Monday afternoon with one count each of livestock theft, a class C felony.

Bail for each was set at $2,000.
