An 80-year-old man from Las Vegas was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon in a possible drowning incident at Hapuna Beach State Recreation Area.

A vehicle crash and fire in the Kawaihae Road area has been reported, according to the Hawai’i Police Department. Kawaihae Road is closed near the 65-mile marker.
