The Hawai’i Police Department is seeking the identity of a man who is wanted for questioning in an incident that happened on Feb. 5 in Pahoa.

In the incident, a purse was stolen from an SUV belonging to a 34-year-old woman at about 8:40 p.m. that evening. The vehicle was parked off of Highway 130.

Purchases were made using the woman’s stolen debit and EBT cards at businesses in Pahoa and Hilo.

HPD released a surveillance image of a man that they want to question in the incident. Anyone who recognizes the individual should call HPD’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Anonymous tips can be phoned in to Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
