Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 24-year-old Jonah Kanoa Mokuiki Drummondo-Rodrigues, of Kea‘au, who is wanted for questioning in a sex assault investigation that occurred on Oʻahu.

The scammers, claiming to be deputy sheriffs, are requesting money from people to pay for bogus outstanding warrants, traffic citations and/or fines for missed jury duty.

“The legal carrying of concealed firearms by citizens in our County is a big change to the culture that we are used to,” Hawaiʻi County Acting Police Chief Kenneth Bugado Jr. said.
