Credit Union Scholarship Program Accepting Applicants

HFS Federal Credit Union is accepting applications for its 2013 scholarship program.

The program provides six graduating high school seniors with scholarships of $2,500 each.

According to the credit union, eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently a HFS Federal Credit Union membership in good standing
  • Currently a Big Island high school senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Will be attending an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational or technical school
  • Have financial need

Applications are available from the credit union’s website at www.hfsfcu.org, at any HFS FCU branch island-wide or at high school counseling offices.

Applications must be postmarked by March 30.
