Hilo Woman Charged With Driving Vehicle Stolen in Kona

A 28-year-old  Hilo woman was being held on $10,000 bail after being charged this week with driving a vehicle taken earlier this month during a burglary in Kailua-Kona.

Police said they observed Sasha Leinani Shelly Soares operating the stolen Jeep Wrangler in Nanawale Estates on Sunday.

She was charged Tuesday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
