Taste of the Hawaiian Range
Be sated on succulent pork, lamb, wild boar, goat, mutton and grass-fed beef at the 17th Annual Taste of the Hawaiian Range on September 21 at 6 p.m., at the Hilton Waikoloa Village.
This deeply satisfying day for carnivores of all ages will celebrate locally sourced food including fruits, vegetables, spices, honey and drinks.
Over thirty of the state’s chefs will create a plethora of palate pleasing plates of delectable morsels for attendees to sample. For the foodie adventurer, try the “rocky mountain oysters,” or bull testicles for a novel experience.
The serious meat lover will enjoy twenty-two cuts from tongue to tail of dry aged beef. Each carving station will create dishes and serve approximately 100 pounds of meat until 8 p.m.
There will also be a cooking demo for $10, which features Four Seasons Resort Hualalai Executive Chef James Babian. At 3 p.m., Watch and learn how to expertly prepare pasture-raised beef.
