Hawaiʻi police arrest, charge seven fugitives during multi-agency sweep
In a major islandwide operation, numerous individuals were apprehended due to outstanding warrants for serious offenses, including drug-related crimes and illegal firearm possession.
Multiple individuals wanted on outstanding warrants and other offenses were arrested following an islandwide warrant sweep last week.
The Hawaiʻi Police Department, the United States Marshals Service Hawaiʻi Fugitive Task Force, the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Law Enforcement’s Sheriff Division, Honolulu Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations participated in the sweep and recovered numerous firearms and suspected illegal narcotics.
Individuals targeted during the warrant sweep included subjects known to be armed and dangerous, with histories involving drug-related offenses, violent offenses, and other criminal activity.
The individuals, warrants, arrests, and bail amounts include:
- Shilo Brent, 49, of Volcano:
- Probation for first-degree criminal property damage and first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer: $25,000
- Probation for first-degree unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle (auto theft): $10,000
- Probation for second-degree bail jumping: $10,000
- Criminal contempt for no motor vehicle insurance: $500
- Total bail set at $45,500
- Daniel Brooks, 34, of Keaʻau:
- Probation revocation for fourth-degree sexual assault: $5,000
- Probation revocation for fourth-degree sexual assault: $5,000
- Failure to comply for five counts as a sex offender: $50,000
- Total: $60,000
- Noah Simeona, 35, of Hilo:
- DAG violation for second-degree promoting a dangerous drug and third-degree promoting a dangerous drug: $25,000
- Contempt for driving without a license and no motor vehicle insurance: $300
- Total: $25,300
- Tiffany Faris-Saffrey-McCandless, 28, of Pāhoa:
- Probation for first-degree criminal property damage: $10,000
- Probation for first-degree criminal property damage: $10,000
- Total: $20,000
- Heather Parrish, 46, of Keaʻau:
- Contempt for fourth-degree theft: $25
- Failure to appear: $50
- Additionally arrested for second-degree promoting a dangerous drug after officers executed a search warrant and recovered suspected methamphetamine and a Remington Model 788 bolt-action rifle.
- Documented bail: $75
- Megan Kaminski, 38, of Pāhoa:
- Conditions of release on bail, own recognizance/supervised release for third-degree promoting a dangerous drug: $3,000
- Deisha Gonsalves, 35, of Mountain View:
- Probation for third-degree promoting a dangerous drug: $5,000
- Current documented bail total: $158,875.
