Big Island man faces charges after throwing rocks at house in Hilo
Two people took cover inside the home as the 21-year-old reportedly threw rocks that broke windows and caused exterior damage.
A Honomū man is facing multiple charges after throwing rocks at a residence in Hilo while two people took cover inside.
The incident occurred Sept. 16 at a home on the 100 block of Mohouli Street. According to Hawai‘i Island police, South Hilo patrol officers responded to the scene after it was reported that a 21-year-old, later identified as Ayzen Enos, showed up on the property and became “verbally confrontational with two individuals inside the residence.”
While outside, Enos allegedly threw numerous rocks at the residence, breaking multiple windows and causing extensive interior and exterior property damage. Two female victims took cover inside the residence as the incident continued, according to police.
Enos allegedly then threw additional rocks at two vehicles parked at the residence, causing broken windows and exterior damage.
Following the investigation, detectives from Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Area I Juvenile Aid Section arrested and charged Enos on Sept. 18, for the following offenses:
- First-degree terroristic threatening
- Three counts of second-degree criminal property damage
- First-degree criminal property damage
Enos’ bail was set at $30,000, and he will make his initial court appearance on Monday, Sept. 21.
