Police arrest, charge two Mountain View men on drug and firearm offenses

Hawaiʻi Island police have arrested and charged two Mountain View men with multiple drug and firearm offenses following a joint narcotics investigation with Homeland Security Investigations.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, detectives with the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Vice Division and Homeland Security Investigations executed search warrants at two adjacent residences in the Fern Acres subdivision. The operation resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine and multiple firearms.

At the residence of Shane Dacuycuy, 49, detectives recovered more than 40 grams of methamphetamine and one loaded firearm. At the residence of Raymond Adrian, 59, detectives recovered more than 60 grams of methamphetamine and two firearms, one of which was loaded.

The combined methamphetamine totaled nearly a quarter pound of illicit narcotics with a street value of about $3,000.

Vice East detectives conferred with the Hawaiʻi County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for charges against Dacuycuy and Adrian.

Dacuycuy was charged with two counts of first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and three counts of ownership or possession prohibited. His total bail was set at $350,000.

Adrian was charged with two counts of first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, three counts of ownership or possession prohibited, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of the commission of a drug felony. His total bail was set at $630,000.

Both Dacuycuy and Adrian made their initial appearances in South Hilo District Court on Monday, July 27.
