Update at 2:56 p.m. March 6: Hawaiʻi Police Department reports 83-year-old Annette Hughes of Fern Forest, who was previously reported as an endangered missing person, was located at about 1:30 p.m. March 6 in good health in Fern Forest.

Original post from 9:11 a.m. March 6: An 83-year-old woman is missing and considered endangered as she could be in need of medical assistance.

Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public for help with locating Annette Hughes of Fern Forest, who was last seen leaving her home on Ohialani Road at 6:45 a.m. March 6 in Fern Forest.

Hughes is 5-foot-7, weighs about 130 pounds, has a light complexion, gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to immediately call the Hawaiʻi Police Department non-emergency number at 808-935-3311.
