16-year-old runaway sought by police

Big Island police want to know if you’ve seen 16-year-old Kamalu Freitas, who was reported as a runaway earlier today.
He is described as local, 5-foot-9, 130 pounds, with a slim build, tan complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans, black tennis shoes and a navy blue “LA” baseball cap.
Freitas was last seen at about 9 a.m. Monday on Aupuni Street in Hilo.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
