Have you seen any of these 3 runaways? Big Island police renew request for info

Big Island police are asking the public again if they have seen any of the following three runaway teens, who each have been missing for at least a month:

  • 17-year-old Cherish Ahulau-Kaleo was last seen March 14 on Kino‘ole Street in Hilo. She is 5-foot-2, with brown eyes and dyed red hair. She is known to frequent the downtown Hilo area.
  • 17-year-old Mary Costner was last seen May 20 on foot near Maku’u Drive and 8th Avenue in Pāhoa. She is 5-foot-2, 170 pounds, with long dark brown hair and brown eyes.
  • 15-year-old Chael Aku was last seen May 21 in the 2300 block of Ainakahele Street in Hilo. He is 5-foot-6, 130 pounds, with dark curly hair and light green eyes.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Officer Corey Kaneko at 808-961-8843 or via email at corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous can call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300.
