The County of Hawai‘i Department of Water Supply will conduct a fire hydrant flow test within Parker Ranch Center in Waimea from 10-11 p.m. on June 12.

The affected area includes customers on Māmalahoa Highway between Church Road and Waimea Elementary School; on Pukalani Road including the Holoholokū subdivision; and on Lindsay Road between Kahilu Theatre and Kawaihae Road, including all side roads and lanes.

The affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.

Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, call District Supervisor William O’Neil Jr. at 808-887-3030.
