Update: Puna woman Ku‘uipo Thomas located in good health

Update at 3:26 p.m. Mar. 25:  Big Island police reported the afternoon of Mar. 25 that 33-year-old Ku‘uipo Thomas was located in good health.

Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 33-year-old Ku‘uipo Thomas of Pāhoa, who has been reported as missing.

She was last seen in February in the area of Pāhoa town walking around on foot, but wasn’t reported as a missing person until recently.

Thomas is described as being Caucasian with a thin build, 5-feet 8-inches tall, 120 pounds, short blonde hair and hazel eyes. Thomas has a “hatchet man” tattoo on her right shoulder and the words “Hakuna Matata” tattooed on her left wrist.

Police ask anyone who may have any information on the whereabouts of Thomas to contact the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
