‘Ohana Fuels gives to Hawai‘i Island United Way’s campaign to help local communities
A donation of $5,940.12 was presented to Hawai‘i Island United Way by Joy Madriaga of Hawai‘i Petroleum late last year through the ‘Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” charitable program.
The partnership between ‘Ohana Fuels and Hawai‘i Island United Way is an
example of how corporate social responsibility can positively impact people’s lives, the latter organization said in a recent press release.
From July through September of 2023, a portion of all sales made at ‘Ohana Fuels outlets on Hawai‘i Island was given to Hawai‘i Island United Way. The donation will be used to support Hawai‘i Island United Way’s 36 partner agency programs serving the community of Hawai‘i Island.
This means that the Hawai‘i Island community is getting much-needed health, education and income support, according to Hawai‘i Island United Way President and Chief Professional Officer Karen Davis.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated in the ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ initiative,” Davis said. “Your kindness and generosity will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of many in your neighborhood and community.”
