Big Island weekly lane closures: Nov. 5-11
The state Department of Transportation announces weekly lane closures for Nov. 5-11. Lane closure schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
In observance of Election Day, Nov. 8, and Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Highway 130 contraflow will not operate. There also will be no closures Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

1) VOLCANO
Single-lane closure on Volcano Road (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 17 and 21, vicinity of S. Oshiro Road and Old Volcano Road, on Monday, Nov. 7, Wednesday, Nov. 9, and Thursday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for boring samples.
2) PĀHALA
Single-lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 48 and 49, vicinity of Moaʻula Kaʻū Cloud Rest Coffee, on Monday, Nov. 7, through Thursday, Nov. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.

Single-lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 51 and 53, vicinity of Kamani Street and Kaalaiki Road, on Saturday, Nov. 5, and Sunday, Nov. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for vegetation cutting.
