Celebrate International Day of Yoga in Downtown Hilo
The public is invited to celebrate the second annual International Day of Yoga on Sunday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mo‘oheau Bandstand and Park in Hilo.
This year’s free event will include yoga classes for all experience levels, a supervised keiki area with keiki yoga, healthy snacks and other activities for kids, and a meditation tent with various guided meditation sessions every half hour.
The celebration will also include a vegan potluck-style lunch. Attendees are encouraged to bring a vegan fruit or veggie dish to share.
“Last year brought great joy experiencing our vibrant and diverse yoga community of all levels and backgrounds,” said Shannon Matson of Hot Yoga Hilo. “Come together to celebrate this healing modality. I am looking forward to even more breathing, bendy, beautiful yoga this year!”
Local vendors attending the event will be Yoga Centered, Kula Shave Ice and Sweet Cane Café with Raw Love Hawai‘i. Information booths will be presented by Hilo Shala, Hot Yoga Hilo, One Ocean Global, Hinano Healing Arts, Lemongrass Spa and Legit Nutrition Hawai‘i.
Additional vendor opportunities are available until Monday, June 19. Additional informational booths will be accepted until Thursday, June 22.
