PTA: Military Convoys Scheduled for April 15 and 16

Military service members will convoy between Keaukaha Military Reservation and Pohakuloa Training Area at the end of this week.

According to PTA, the convoy will run from KMR to PTA on Friday, April 15 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will go the opposite direction on Saturday, April 16 during the same time frame.

The convoy will utilize Hilo Airport Road, Kanoelehua Avenue, West Puainako Street, Komohana Street, Puainako Extension Route 2000, and the Daniel K. Inouye Highway.

Efforts between the PTA Department of Army police, local authorities, and military units have coordinated the activity in support of unit training and readiness.

Motorists driving along the listed roadways during scheduled convoy times should remain alert and drive with care.
