3.0M Earthquake Centered West of Volcano

Just before 8:20 a.m. Thursday morning, a 3.0 magnitude shook the Big Island about 16 miles west of Volcano.

The United States Geological Survey listed the earthquake at a depth of 6.2 miles, 32 miles southwest of Hilo, 35 miles west-southwest of Hawaiian Paradise Park, 36 miles east-southeast of Kailua-Kona, and 200 miles southeast of Honolulu.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center and the Hawaiian Volcanoes Observatory did not release any warnings or information in association with the quake.
