3.8M Earthquakes Shakes the Big Island Early Wednesday
A 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook the Big Island early Wednesday morning.
The United States Geological Survey reported the quake at 3:10 a.m., 22 miles southeast of Pahala.
Wednesday’s earthquake was 48 miles south-southwest of Hawaiian Paradise Park, 55 miles south-southwest of Hilo, 67 miles southeast of Kailua-Kona, and 233 miles southeast of Honolulu.
Five people on the island reported feeling the quakes via USGS’s “Did You Feel it?” website. It was felt along the west coast of the island and as far as Kihei, Maui.
