Man Arrested in Connection to January Honoli’i Shooting
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection to an ongoing investigation by the Hawai’i Police Department into an early morning shooting that occurred in the Honoli’i area of Hilo on Jan. 31.
Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section arrested John Perez of Hilo at 10:13 a.m. Tuesday. The arrest was made on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder.
Perez is currently being held at the Hilo police cellblock as detectives continue to investigate.
