Manono Campus to Host 3rd Annual Hawai’i CC Day
Hawai’i Community College will host its 3rd Annual Hawai’i CC Day on Friday, Feb. 26.
The event will take place at the college’s Manono Campus in Hilo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Interactive exhibits presented by the college’s academic programs and student services will follow a kīpaepae welina.
“Hawai‘i CC Day provides an inside look at our programs and the various ways we serve Hawai‘i Island,” said Hawai’i CC Interim Chancellor Joni Onishi. “The academic programs always present engaging displays, and many Hawai‘i CC students and faculty members will be present to answer questions.”
The event is attended by hundreds of middle and high school students from Hawai‘i Island schools each year, according to college officials.
“By engaging middle and high school students on our campus, we hope to instill in them the importance of higher education,” said Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Jason Cifra. “We also want to demonstrate that Hawai‘i CC is a welcoming campus where students can study a wide range of subjects.”
