Flash Flood Watch Issued Through Late Friday
A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for the Big Island and the entire state through late Friday night as deep tropical pressure moves its way across the islands.
The National Weather Service weather say the Big Island will continue to experience enhanced moisture into Friday.
Moisture interacting with terrain and locally heavy showers may lead to flash flooding.
According to NWS, the threat of heavy rain will be over the windward side of the island, especially in the Ka’u, Puna, and South Hilo districts.
It is expected that the rain will diminish Friday as the deep moisture moves west of the island.
