Officer Ishikawa Recognized Among State’s ‘Top Cops’
Hawai’i Police Department Officer Lloyd Ishikawa was recognized as one of Hawai’i’s “Top Cops” during a luncheon on Oahu Thursday.
The 31st Annual Top Cop Law Enforcement and Security Awards Banquet was held this week at the Hawai’i Prince Hotel Waikiki. It was hosted by the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety, recognizing the top local, state, federal, and military law enforcement and security professionals.
Officer Ishikawa was nominated for the award by HPD Captain Samuel Jeslma, who highlighted the officer’s near-perfect work attendance record and noted five different instances of locating wanted felons and high-risk suspects.
“Throughout the years, he has developed an unmatched informant base, becoming the ‘go to guy’ for other officers and detectives seeking a suspect,” said Captain Jelsma in his nomination papers.
Also recognized at the event was Lieutenant Roderick Green of the Kauai Police Department, Officer Ross Borges of the Honolulu Police Department, and Officer John Surina of the Maui Police Department.
