Military training will be conducted at Pohakuloa Training Area through Nov. 24, according to the United States Army Garrison-Hawai’i.

During the training, noise may be heard in the surrounding area. USAG-HI officials note that noise and smoke are not indications of danger, as the training will not cause any immediate danger. Overcast conditions can increase noise and vibrations.

Among the training activities are artillery and mortar fire. Dates and times are subject to change, based on environmental and other factors.

“While sometimes loud, the sounds of training represent how the military ensures the nation’s service members are ready to accomplish the mission and return home safely,” said USAG-HI officials.
