Weekend Lane Closure

Weekend road work will take place on the Umauma Bridge in Hakalau on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The State of Hawai’i Department of Transportation reminds the public that the area is under a continuous alternating lane closure near mile marker 16 on Highway 19. The partial closure is on a seven-day-a-week, 24-hour schedule as bridge rehabilitation work is underway. Speed on the bridge is reduced to 20 miles per hour.

All lane closures are weather permitting and have the possibility of changing without notice.
