A pair of Ocean View residents were arrested on Wednesday after being found in a stolen pickup truck.
The Hawai’i Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious truck in a driveway in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Once arriving at the scene, officers determined that the vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, has been reported stolen from a Kona parking lot between May 30 and May 31.

Collins was arrested and the pair was taken to the Kona police cellblock as Area II Criminal Investigations Section detectives investigated the incident.
The Toyota truck was recovered and returned to its owner.
On Friday morning, Abrojena was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. His bail was set at $10,000. Collins was charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and inattention to driving. Her bail was set at $11,000.
