Public help is being sought by the Hawai’i Police Department in a December incident involving a burglary at the Keaukaha Military Reserve in Hilo.

Police say that officers responded on Dec. 8 to a report of a burglary at the reserve, located on Kekuanoa Street. Upon arriving at the scene, HPD says it learned that a Polaris Ranger utility vehicle had been removed from a bunker on the base.

The value of the vehicle is estimated to be $16,000.

Anyone who has information about the burglary should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Dean Uyetake by calling 961-2379 or e-mailing dean.uyetake@hawaiicounty.gov.
