Police Investigating Shots Fired in Hilo

The Hawai‘i Police Department is investigating reports of gunshots fired in Hilo late Sunday evening, May 10.

At 10:08 p.m. Sunday, Hilo police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the vicinity of Haihai Street and Nou Street in upper Waiākea.  One car was damaged in the incident.

Detectives are investigating the shooting as a first-degree reckless endangering case.
