Elections Commission Meeting Tuesday

On Tuesday, April 7, the State of Hawai’i Elections Commission plans to expand its meeting through videoconferencing.

The meeting will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Kakuhihewa State Office Building in Kapolei. The public will be able to view and participate in the meeting simultaneously from three additional sites throughout the state, including the Big Island, Maui and Kauai.

Big Island residents are invited to attend the videoconference site at the Hilo State Office Building at 75 Aupuni St. During the meeting, the public will be invited to share testimony.

Items on the agenda include a status report from the Chief Election Officer, Scott Nago, Discussion of 2015 legislative bills that could affect the Office of Elections, and the discussion, review, and implementation of a method in which to evaluate the Chief Election Officer.
