Pahoa House Fire Causes $130K in Damage

Hawai’i County Fire Department personnel responded to an overnight fire in Pahoa that caused $130,000 in damage.

Officials say that fire personnel arrived at a home on Ahi Street just before 10 p.m. Sunday evening to find the structure fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished at about 11:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported during the incident and the cause of the fire remains unknown. Hawai’i Police Department officers were on scene.
