Tasha Gardner, an extended furlough inmate at the Hawai’i Community Correctional Center, is being sought after, according to the State of Hawai’i Department of Public Safety. Gardner did not report for her scheduled check-in Tuesday.

Upon the lack of her check-in, the Hawai’i Police Department was notified by the correctional facility.

Inmates in the extended furlough program are allowed to work and live outside of the correctional facility but must check-in at various times on a weekly basis.

Theft, forgery, burglary, identity theft, and fraudulent use of a credit card are among the charges that Gardner was serving time for. Escape 2 is expected to be added. Her next parole hearing is scheduled for December.
