Police Seek Help Identifying Forgery Suspect

Hawaiʻi Island police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a forgery investigation.

On the morning of Aug. 18, a man allegedly used counterfeit money to make a purchase at a fast food restaurant in downtown Hilo.

Police ask anyone with information about the man’s identity to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Officer Jenny Lee at 961-2213.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
