Hawaiʻi County invites residents of Puna to provide input by responding to a community survey launched as part of the Puna Alternate Route Study.

The online survey is aimed at gathering the public’s opinion and thoughts about travel patterns in and out of Puna, existing transportation conditions and concerns as well as emergency access and resilience.

Responses will help inform the county and state funded alternate route study, which is meant to identify potential alternate routes in Puna to alleviate traffic congestion.

The survey can be found here.

Updates also will be posted on the website, including additional information such as public meeting notices and draft route alignments, as the study moves forward.
