Department of Water Supply customers urged to reduce water use in Kalapana

A water restriction notice has been issued for Department of Water Supply customers in Kalapana, Puna.

The notice requires affected customers to reduce water use by at least 25% due to unexpected well and equipment malfunctions.

The Department of Water Supply is currently hauling water to the upper Kalapana water tank; however, reducing water use is necessary to maintain adequate levels in the storage tanks for all customers.
