Puna man arrested in connection with Hilo terroristic threatening incident involving firearm
Hawai‘i Island police arrested a 37-year-old Puna man in connection with a terroristic threatening incident involving firearm the evening of Sept. 16 in Hilo.
Lake Charles Lively was arrested without incident for the following offenses:
- 3 counts first-degree terroristic threatening.
- 2 counts violation of a temporary restraining order.
- First-degree burglary.
- Ownership or possession of a firearm prohibited.
Lively was transported to the East Hawai‘i Detention Center in Hilo, where he remains in custody as Hawai‘i Police Department Area I Juvenile Aid Section detectives continue to investigate.
South Hilo patrol officers responded at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 400 block of Iloko Street in Hilo following a report of a male in possession of a firearm who was making threatening statements.
Lively fled the area on foot upon the arrival of officers.
Police made area checks throughout the early morning hours Sept. 17, including the vicinity of the 200 block of Haili Street.
Officers located Lively still on foot at 7:22 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Ponohawai Street.
